Taylor S. Danar, 91, of Livingston, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.
Born on September 30, 1925, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Max and Tillie (Nesson) Danar. Together almost 50 years, Taylor married Elaine Georgiades on August 27, 1977 and she survives at home. His sons Robin Danar, Los Angeles, CA and Richard Danar, Queens, NY, also survive him.
He served in the United States Navy during WW II in the South Pacific theatre as an Admiral's Aide.
For almost 60 years, Taylor was a top sales executive for printing companies, retiring from Quad Graphics based in WI, NYC and his beloved Saratoga, NY.
Taylor was an avid golfer, dancer, world traveler, loved 'the ponies' and had a love of all kinds of music. Both of his sons inherited his musical creativity.
Taylor will be remembered for his love of crossword puzzles, scrabble with family, dry sense of humor, drinking coffee black and his love of Elaine, his soulmate, and family and friends.
In process of writing his second book, Taylor self-published his first one; 'Almost around the world traveler' in 2008 while living in Short Hills, NJ.
Family and Friends will be received at the Red Hook Inn, 7460 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY on Sunday, April 9th, 2017 from 2 to 5 for a Celebration of Taylor's life.
Memorial donations may be made in Taylor's memory to the Kidney Foundation, Wounded Warriors, and American Heart Association.
Services and Interment will be private.
