Carolyn J Yablonski, 85, a longtime Red Hook resident and also a resident of Greenwood, DE, passed away on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE.
Born on February 24, 1932, in Blue Point, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene C and Freada (Eve) Dennis. Carolyn married Edward M Yablonski on October 25th, 1953 in Blue Point, NY and Edward predeceased her on December 19, 2002
For many years and until her retirement, Carolyn worked for AT&T in both Kingston and Poughkeepsie, NY as an operator.
She loved to garden and was an active member of the local garden club.
Carolyn is survived by her sisters; Joan Champlin of Tivoli, NY, and Marion Javora of West Islip, NY; her nieces and nephews; Billy Champlin of Tivoli, NY, David Champlin of Florida, Tim Champlin of Texas, Peter Tritsch of Woodbridge, VA, Holly Riordan of Wantagh, NY, Stephen Tritsch of Brookhaven, NY, and Richard Howell of West Islip, NY; along with her longtime companion, Charlie Dietrich of Delaware, extended family, colleagues, and friends.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Monday, May 1st, 2017 from 10 AM- 12 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM and interment will be in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, Red Hook.
