Whitney M. Coon, 36, a longtime Red Hook resident and recently a resident of "the big city" New York, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Whitney was born on June 26, 1984, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald Coon Jr. and Donna (Vincent) Coon of Red Hook. Whitney was a graduate of Red Hook High School in 2003.
Whit was a supporter and lover of art in all forms, she loved painting, dancing and had a great appreciation for music. True to her rebellious nature, Whitney lived her life her way. Whether it was hitchhiking cross country or wearing a blue rubber ducky bathrobe to high school. She had a passion for all dogs but had a special place in her heart for pit bulls.
In addition to her loving mother, Donna, Whitney is survived by her sister, Kimberly Coon of Red Hook, NY; her brother, Christopher Coon of Red Hook, NY; her nephew, Jacob Coon; her nieces, Macalia Coon and Olivia Hicks; in addition to her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 from 12 to 2PM. A memorial service will take a place at 2PM. Immeditaly following will be burial at St. Sylvia's Cemetery, Tivoli, NY.
