Anne I. Bauer, 94, a longtime former Red Hook resident, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at The Baptist Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY.
Born on October 26th, 1927, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Anna (Simon) Freer. Raised in Stanford, Anne was a graduate of Pine Plains School District. Anne married Carlton W. Bauer, Jr , who predeceased her in 1989.
For over 20 years, Anne worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at The Baptist Home in Rhinebeck.
Anne was a member of former parishioner of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY, and an active member of the Red Hook Seniors.
She loved music, and Anne played the piano and harp. While in residence at the Baptist Home, she was a member of their choir- who sang at events and holidays.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Jean Ross of Sacramento, CA, Robert (Laureen) Bauer of Red Hook, NY, and Shannon Bauer of Kingston, NY; her sister, Mary Lyle of Northfield, MA; her grandchildren, Hailey, Matthew, Adia, Ian, Jennifer, & Nicholas; several great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband, two sisters- Jean and Helene predeceased her.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Red Hook on Friday, November 19th, 2021 from 11
AM to 12 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, followed by interment in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY.
