Marion L Lester, 92, of Clermont, NY, sadly gained her wings on December 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 21, 1929 in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Margaret (Lowell) Wilson. Marion married Edward Lester on Aug. 24, 1962 in Westbrook, Maine.
Marion loved to sing, paint, color and sew. She always kept busy and took great pride in making items like pillows for her family. Above all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Hillbilly band where she shared her love for singing. In addition she helped with BINGO at the Masonic Temple in Tivoli. She spent countless hours volunteering her time to these organizations.
Survived by her children, Eva (Arthur) Kilmer, Gayle (Gus) Jacker, Jack (Mary) Lester, Jeffrey (Sue) Lester, Joseph (Tiffany) Lester, and Jerald (Julie) Lester; her several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her close friends, Shelly Proper and Robert Seaton; in addition to extended family and friends.
Marion is predeceased by her loving husband, Edward; her son, Jimmy Lester; her daughter, Linda Keator, and several siblings.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 11:00 to 1:00PM. At the conclusion of calling hours we will process to Red Church Cemetery in Tivoli for burial.
