Obituary of Thomas J. Kilker

Thomas J. Kilker, 67, of Red Hook, NY, died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at his home. Mr Kilker was a Deputy Chief with the New York City Fire Department, stationed in South Bronx, Division 6. He served from 1967 until his retirement in 1999. He also served with the United States Air Force and Coast Guard. Mr. Kilker retired from the Coast Guard Reserves with a rank of Senior Chief. Born in New York, NY on 2/6/1935, he was the son of William and Madeline Mannion Kilker. Mr. Kilker married Katherine M. Linder, she survives at home in Red Hook. Along with his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Michael & Timothy Kilker both of Mahopac. Two daughters, Jean Kilker Lecce of Norfolk, VA. & Susan Kilker Malles of Millbrook, NY. Two sisters, Veronica Haubert of Clark Summit, PA. & Katherine Stetzer of Houston, TX. 10 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by a brother William Kilker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at St. Christopher's Church, 7411 S. Broadway, Red Hook. The Rev. Charles C. Coen will officiate. Cremation will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery (Crematory), Kingston. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM and Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook.
