Albert Michael Choinsky, 85, a lifelong Tivoli and Elizaville resident, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.
Born on October 17, 1934, in Tivoli, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Verna (Oakes) Choinsky. Albert married Barbara Coon on November 10, 1956 in Red Hook, NY and Barbara survives at their home.
Albert served in the Marine Corps and continued on to be a Machinist with Standard Gauge in Poughkeepsie for over 30 years. Albert was a member of the Elizaville Pumper Company. Albert was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time tending to his garden.
In addition to his loving wife, Albert is survived by his son, James Choinsky; his siblings, Verna (Bob) Kilmer, Raymond Choinsky, Lillian (Robert) Hilbrandt, Arthur (Saskia) Choinsky, Vivian Kime, Linda (Joseph) Blum, Sandra Daley, and Ralph (Tammy) Choinsky; his sister in law, Linda (Edwin) Clum; extended family and friends.
Albert is predeceased by his brother, Robert Choinsky.
Interment will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 12:30PM at St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, Red Hook.
