Obituary of Isobel M. Schultz

Isobel M. Schultz, 91, a lifelong resident of Red Hook passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. Born on October 18, 1928, in Foxburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Martin and Florence Gertrude (Nelson) Munson. Isobel married Robert Schultz on April 24, 1949 in Red Hook, NY. Robert predeceased her on December 30, 2004. She worked as a Secretary for Manor Research Farm in Staatsburg, NY and Sears Maintenance department in Kingston, NY. Isobel enjoyed singing and dancing. Isobel was a longtime parishioner at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Hook and was very active in the St. Paul's Church Choir and the worship music ministry. Isobel is survived by her children, Cheryl Blakney of Red Hook, NY and Rory Schultz of Annandale, VA; her two grandchildren, Janel Fields and her husband, Kevin, and Jason Blakney and his wife, Hayley Allen; her two great grandchildren, Emmett and Sage; in addition to her extended family and friends. In addition her husband, Robert, Isobel is predeceased by her son, Robert Schultz, Jr, and her son-in-law, Richard Blakney. Memorial donations may be made in Isobel's memory to the Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 10 to 11AM. Funeral services will be held immediately following the conclusion of calling hours on September 30, 2020 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hook, NY. The Pastor Jim Miller will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
