My sincerest condolences to the Faherty family. I am very sorry to hear of Walter's passing. I remember spending a week and a half with Aunt Alice and Walter in Red Hook back in 1994 when I first got my 'green card'. It was a very enjoyable stay as Aunt Alice turned 80 the same week. Walter took me around and showed me a great time. Little did I know at the time, that would be the first great adventure of my new life in America. May he Rest in Peace. Ronan O'Neill(San Francisco)

I am very saddened to hear Walter has passed away especially not knowing he was so ill until very recently. Walter came to Ireland for a holiday as a young teenager, stayed at our house and, as we were both the same age, we got up to a lot of shenanigans!lll. We rarely missed each other’s birthdays and would always take a trip down memory lane and laugh as if we were still teenagers. I will miss those calls and until we meet again dear cousin, Rest In Peace. Mary Jonker

Dear Joanne, Tom, Kevin and families.
We were so sorry to hear about Walter’s passing. I don’t think we ever saw him without a smile on his face. He was a very kind, caring man. He had a laughter that boomed. I know many people, especially his family, will miss him and his jovial ways! I’m sure he went to a better place and is with the family that passed before him. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and have been ever since Renee told me. May God keep you strong during this sorrowful time and help you remember the great memories you all have of him. Our love to you all!
