Obituary of Craig R. Putnam

Craig Richard Putnam, 69, a longtime Red Hook resident, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at his home. Craig was a gentle soul and a friend to all. Born on September 27, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Gladys Irene (Anderson) Putnam. Craig and his mother, Gladys, has a special bond; he was her pride and joy. Craig found enjoyment in many aspects in his lifetime. He enjoyed working with his hands and doing construction; he took after his grandfather who was known for his accomplished construction business. Craig loved watching Turner Classic Movies, getting lots of mail, eating Italian food, and going out to restuarants. Craig had a strong love for all animals and was especially fond of cats. Craig was very proud of his Swedish Heritage. Survived by his loving sister, Cheryl Henry and her husband Bruno, of Manhattan, NY; his nephew, Pierre Henry of Manhattan, NY; in addition to extended family and friends. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
