Obituary of Marjorie C. Brenzel

Marjorie C. Brenzel, age 85, of Dillsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born February 7, 1936 in Billerica, MA, she was the daughter of the late Russell J. and Mildred M. (Miller) Tompkins.

 

Marjorie was a member of Country and Town Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg, Clermont Bible Church, Clermont, NY and Blaise Baptist Church, Mocksville, NC where she was in the choir. During her time in the choir at Blaise Baptist Church, she had the privilege to sing at the Kennedy Center. She was also a member of the International Christian Women's Club. She was very active in her children's lives as a den mother in the Cub scouts. Marjorie volunteered with A Store House for Jesus and The Distribution Center for Operation Christmas Child.

 

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, Glenn L. Brenzel; four children, Holly Sweet (Alan), Darryl Brenzel (Jennifer), Heather Stary (Dale) and Kendra Dalley (Erik); seven grandchildren, Tyler Sweet, Devin Sweet (Audrey), Aaron Stary (Jacqueline), Joshua Stary, Janelle Stary, Nathan Dalley and Eleanor Dalley and her two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Stary and Tierney Sweet. Her brother, Kendall Tompkins, preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Country and Town Baptist Church, 220 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

 

Graveside services and burial will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery in Red Hook, NY.

 

Memorial donations may be made in Marjorie's memory to the Samaritan's Purse, PO BOX 3000, Boone, NC 28607. .

 

Local arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
